American Institute of Healthcare & Fitness (AIHF) offers a unique healthcare environment that combines traditional and complementary care in a relaxing North Raleigh location. One example is Steve Adkins, a pharmacist at Health Park Pharmacy in Suite 227 at 8300 Health Park Road. “For over 10 years, I have provided one-on-one advice to my patients to improve their health,” he says. “I do this by working with their doctors to provide the best plan for each individual”.
As a 16 year-old working in his hometown pharmacy in Danville, VA, he felt the impact the pharmaceutical business had on his community. “Our patients and their doctors trusted us to work together to improve their lives. As a result of this experience, my goal as a pharmacist is to educate patients to improve their health.”
In a building like AIHF, Steve is able to provide his patients with a level of service and care unmatched by any of his competitors. “If I need clarification on an order, or just need to make a change to save a patient money, I can send a text message directly to the patient’s provider. Within minutes I have a response. In other practices, this simple request can take up to ten business days. This lag delays patient care and in some situations can be detrimental to the patient.”
