In this Issue…

Spring has sprung and we couldn’t be happier! Although this winter wasn’t bad at all, especially compared to what the north received, there is nothing like those fresh flowers blooming to pick us up out of the winter blues. In this issue, we are providing you some ways to get out and enjoy this gorgeous weather North Carolina has to offer!

In April and May, all across the state, you can be a spectator or participant in the Senior Games! If nothing else, going to see Louise Gooch and her Divas & Dude cheerleading team is worth the trip. Check out her story on page 10… fascinating! For another way to get out and be active, give Pickleball a try. You can read all about it and how it has taken off in North Carolina on page 47. While you’re out and about, swing by the Farmer’s Market and pick up some veggies. NC State’s Professor, Dr. Carolyn Dunn, has provided us with some great recipes on roasting vegetables… delicious and still healthy!

If you’re up for a little day trip or get-away, Pinehurst is the place! This little oasis is a must for golfers or anyone that just wants to slow down and take a peaceful break from the crazy life we all lead. You probably won’t want to go back to the real world, but if you have to, you’ll come away relaxed and rejuvenated.

We hope you enjoy our Spring issue and as always, thank you for choosing The Triangle Retirement Resource Guide!
