I am pleased to announce a new joint effort between Retirement Resource Guide and Retirement Living Associates, Inc. After about 8 years of providing an article in publications produced by Retirement Resource Guide and online, we are kicking off a new video podcast.
Over an almost 40-year career (with more years in front of me), I have had the pleasure to meet many different people. The residents and professionals are all very intriguing and all bring a different perspective from development, management and day to day life in a retirement community.
One of the communities I manage is Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community in Raleigh, which recently celebrated a 40th Anniversary. As part of the celebration over a two-month period, we had different events for second generation residents, long tenured staff, employees involved in the earliest days of the community, and our finale which included live music, excellent food options, and outdoor celebration bringing together all that participated. At these various events, we had camera and questions ready. We talked to several people involved and look forward to sharing from them in my earliest podcasts.
Moving beyond these first podcasts, we look forward to bringing together lots of folks ranging from regulators, government officials, experts in management, marketing, development, leadership from retirement industry associations, residents, and more. Podcasts are somewhat new to me, but as I appreciate that technology continues to bring new means of communication and sharing, I am excited to be starting this new avenue. I welcome any suggestions from you, the readers of my article in this publication, about what you would like to learn more about in the senior industry.
